Nádia is an electrical engineer from Ceará, educated at the University of São Paulo. Currently living in rural São Paulo, she is part of the Tekoporã Free Software Collective and of the Transfeminist Network for Digital Care (RTCD). Throughout her career, she has studied energy systems, including off-grid photovoltaic irrigation systems. She currently works on projects for systematizing and commercializing agroecological production using free and open digital tools. Since 2023, alongside Rede Ecovida de Agroecologia, she has been building Speco, a management system for organizations that carry out participatory organic certification through Participatory Guarantee Systems (PGSs). With RTCD, she leads care-centered digital security training processes, and is part of the Latin American coordination of the Transactivist Encounter for Digital Decolonization (ETDD).

Manor House Agricultural Training Centre

From May 15 to 18, 2026, we took part in the Pan-African Gathering for Building Community Digital Futures, at the Manor House Agricultural Training Centre, in Kitale, Kenya.

Before talking about the event, a note on the Manor House Agricultural Training Centre in Kitale, which has been running training processes related to technology in the field since 2014. They are based in the rural area of the city, and maintain different spaces for agroforestry, a vegetable garden, and egg and milk production. They apply different methods, aiming to experiment and teach people interested in agricultural production. The food served during the event was mostly grown there.
